Experienced military and IT professional with over 29 years of experience leading teams ranging from 5 to
over 550 employees. Dave has served as a senior information technology executive responsible for IT
strategy, employee development, IT KPIs, IT budget, all legal contracts involving IT, and working with
different business units to help them achieve their financial and business objectives. Comfortable making
decisions in a rapidly changing business and technology environment having served as the Chief Technology
Officer (CTO) for a tech startup with responsibility for all strategy, technical architecture, design,
and DevOps. Dave has significant experience and expertise developing and implementing
enterprise-wide solutions to drive out costs and optimize IT value while building top-performing,
customer-focused organizations. Experienced in enterprise application integration using a variety of technologies
to streamline business processes seamlessly across systems.
Dave is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point and he also holds a Masters Degree in Information Systems.
His military service includes combat experience as a field artillery officer during Operation Desert Storm and he also deployed in support
of Operation Enduring Freedom from 2009 - 2010 as a maneuver battalion commander. Dave recently retired as a colonel
after a distinguished 30 year military career in the U.S. Army and National Guard.
Nick has a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Irvine. Nick worked as a Mechanical Designer in MEP for a little over a year before deciding to pursue his interest in data analysis and full stack development at a startup called StyleWhere. After 8 months of working with StyleWhere, the company was acquired by Smartrac Technology, a global leader in RFID technology. Nick's code and many of his algorithms contributed are used daily by Levi's and other big name retail corporations as the backbone of their RFID solution. The app he helped create along with his incredible mentor, Miguel Alatorre, is displayed in showrooms geographically ranging from Hong Kong, the Empire State building in NYC, all the way to London. Nick also displayed a poster at the INFORMS Business Analytics Conference in 2016 to present work done in the big data scope of his work at StyleWhere. Nick continued work as a full stack developer and data analyst at Smartrac before co-founding Cloudstorm, LLC.
